Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for Speech App Frontend leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript and AI to design and implement advanced, AI-enhanced React interfaces for large-scale internal tools. Collaborate across product, design, and backend teams to deliver forward-thinking solutions; own the codebase with clean, reusable React code; drive quality through testing, troubleshooting, and performance/accessibility optimization. Mentor junior engineers, communicate requirements to stakeholders, stay ahead of front-end and AI tech trends, and champion continuous improvement. Must have formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience; strong React and JavaScript/TypeScript capabilities; ESG+ expertise; modern web development, REST APIs, unit testing, agile, and accessibility practices; exposure to full-stack tools (CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability) is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Strong proficiency in React
- Solid background in modern web development, including responsive design and performance optimization
- Understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous data flows
- Ability to write clean, testable code and unit tests
- Experience thriving in agile, distributed teams
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
- Preferred: Express for API development, design systems and component libraries, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Datadog
