Job Summary
Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable software solutions for Sony Music's global B2B2C platforms, driving architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines. Partner with Product, Operations, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions while writing clean, maintainable code and establishing engineering best practices. Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and modernization initiatives to champion application reliability, performance, and operational excellence. Mentor engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, and architectural guidance, identifying technical debt to improve scalability and developer productivity. Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis across distributed systems while collaborating on the long-term technical roadmap. This role requires 10+ years of experience in distributed systems, Python, JavaScript, and AWS, with a hybrid schedule of three days in our London office.
