Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for ServiceNow SecOps responsible for expert-level coding and guiding the design and development of ServiceNow SecOps solutions (SIR, MSIM, Service Catalog). Architect and implement end-to-end cybersecurity workflows (incidents, containment, remediation, closure) and lead the integration of SecOps with external tools (SIEM, scanners, threat intel). Mentor engineers, drive best practices, and oversee design reviews, troubleshooting, and performance metrics. Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements, while advancing USEM and vulnerability management capabilities and automation/Orchestration patterns within an Agile SDLC.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis and/or application development work experience
- Expert proficiency in at least one programming language and professional proficiency in at least one additional programming language
- hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform development (server-side and client-side scripting)
- Extensive experience developing and implementing ServiceNow SecOps solutions (SIR, USEM, Service Catalog)
- Strong understanding of incident response lifecycle, vulnerability management, and risk-based prioritization
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with security tools (SIEM, scanners, SOAR)
- Experience designing workflow-based solutions with approvals, SLAs, and lifecycle management
- ServiceNow platform architecture and best practices for secure, scalable implementations
- Experience leading development efforts and coaching engineers
- Familiarity with security frameworks and audit practices
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-SIR, CIS-VR, CIS-ITSM) or equivalent
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+
