Job Summary
Lead software engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking, driving design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions; oversees architectural evaluations with external vendors and internal teams; champions communities of practice and advanced technologies; deeply experienced with Salesforce ecosystems (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, FSC) and modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, automation, security, agile); owns production-grade code quality, troubleshooting, and operational stability across multiple technical areas; requires 8+ years of experience and formal software engineering training/certification; strong proficiency in Salesforce technologies (LWC, Apex, SOQL, Triggers, Flows), APIs (REST, Bulk), and industry-specific IT systems; familiar with cloud-native approaches and tools (Bitbucket, JIRA).
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 8+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Knowledge of customization of objects, fields, record types, profiles, permission sets, page layouts, dynamic forms, validation rules, flows, email alerts, approval processes, list views, reports and dashboards
- Conversant in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and FSC along with good understanding of OMNI Channel
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Programming and Administration concepts like Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Apex, Flows, Async Apex, Custom Metadata, Triggers, SOQL and Assignment rules
- Knowledge of Salesforce APIs(REST API, BULK API) and its integration capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge is a plus
- Working knowledge of Bitbucket and JIRA
