Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Prime Finance Collateral Basket team. You will work closely with traders and Middle Office to drive a best-in-class platform for managing equity inventory, client funds lifecycle, reporting, and automation of the booking process. Responsibilities include collaborating with business, quant, and tech teams to articulate requirements, mentoring a globally distributed team, delivering feature enhancements through the full SDLC, ensuring robust and supportable solutions, providing 3rd-level production support on rotation, documenting release procedures, and training AI agents to automate support and accelerate development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Excellent understanding of Python concepts (OO design, multi-threading, parallel processing)
- Excellent understanding of UI concepts/languages/frameworks (JavaScript/React, AngularJS, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3)
- Experience in financial services and asset management domain
- Experience in technical leadership roles with diverse teams
- Experience with Python web frameworks such as Tornado or Bottle
- Experience designing scalable microservice architectures with high resiliency
- Experience with relational and No-SQL databases (Sybase, Oracle, MongoDB)
- Experience in Agile environments (team member/Scrum Master/Product Owner)
- Experience supporting production environments and ownership of production issues
- Experience with full development lifecycle tools (Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven)
- Preferred: experience on Deal lifecycle/pricing/risk systems (SecDb, Quartz, Athena, Beacon)
- Understanding of equity markets and equity derivatives
- Experience in UI and integration test automation
- Exposure to cloud compute platforms (AWS); cloud/Kubernetes certifications are a plus
