Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking Digital and Platform Services / Security Services Tech team. As a core technical contributor, you will execute creative software solutions, lead a high-performing engineering team, develop secure production code, review and debug code, and produce architecture/design artifacts for complex applications. You will analyze large data sets for continuous improvement, identify patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture, and lead evaluation sessions with external vendors to assess architectural designs and technical credentials. You will also lead communities of practice to promote new technologies and contribute to a culture of diversity and inclusion. The role requires 5+ years of experience, expertise in multiple languages/frameworks (e.g., .NET/.NET Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL/Oracle, React, Angular), automation and CI/CD proficiency, full-stack development experience, and strong understanding of agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and framework(s) (i.e., .NET/.NET Core, C#, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, SQL/Oracle, Aurora MySQL, Postgres, Containers in Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
- Experience in object-oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced design patterns and practices
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Experience with application development specifically full stack developing in building scalable and robust applications
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Ability to work in large, collaborative and geographically distributed teams to achieve organizational goals
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
