Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain iOS features using Swift, enforcing standards for security, performance, and accessibility. Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions while managing technical dependencies and providing direction. Drive CI/CD improvements for iOS builds and Android workflows, integrating automated tests and leveraging approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate development with rigorous human validation. Integrate with backend services, implement secure authentication flows, and ensure safe handling of local storage and network communications. This role requires 5+ years of applied experience, strong leadership in mentoring, and proficiency in agile methodologies and the financial services industry.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Strong hands-on iOS development experience with Swift and iOS SDK
- Modern architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM/Clean Architecture)
- Experience building UI using UIKit and/or SwiftUI
- Accessibility and responsive layout practices
- Experience with networking
- Persistence (e.g., Keychain and local storage patterns)
- Secure coding practices for mobile
- Demonstrated technical leadership (mentoring, driving standards, owning outcomes)
- Disciplined use of AI coding assistants (Claude AI or equivalent where approved) with verification
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools
- Ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Data sensitivity considerations
