Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for delivering secure, scalable market-risk technology solutions within JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate Technology, driving design, development, and operations across multiple business functions; deep expertise in Python and Java ecosystems, microservices/Kafka architecture, cloud-native AWS, CI/CD, and data modeling with Postgres; leads architectural evaluations, communities of practice, and vendor collaborations while fostering an inclusive team culture with a focus on operational stability and security.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Python with hands-on coding experience
- Advanced in Java and Java frameworks like Spring boot, Hibernate, JPA, spring Kafka
- Proficient in Microservices and/or Kafka or other messaging architecture
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Practical cloud native experience- AWS cloud with hands-on various AWS services
- Knowledge on data modelling, common RDBMS such as Postgres
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
