Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for overseeing the data sourcing, calculations, and reporting suite for regulatory reporting across APAC; collaborates globally to align with architecture standards; leads a motivated, non-management team focused on design, analytics, development, and vendor software integration; promotes experimentation and continuous improvement; works with Databricks, PySpark, and vendor tools like Axiom/OFSAA; emphasizes cloud-native delivery, Python development, automation/CI-CD, and stakeholder engagement to provide scalable, compliant solutions for Finance users.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience working on Vendor driven Reg reporting solutions including non-English locations
- Hands-on experience in technology leadership roles focusing on application, data, and infrastructure architecture
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with PySpark and Prophecy
- AWS, Google, or Azure certifications preferred
