Job Summary
Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug work from others, and lead evaluation sessions with external vendors to drive architectural outcomes. Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of new technologies and guide team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices while establishing consistent validation standards. Improve operational stability by automating remediation of recurring issues and applying knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Advanced applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud-native experience
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices
Desired Qualifications
- Full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Framework, and React JS (including Redux)
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka and IBM MQ
- Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience working with private and public cloud environments
- Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their application within engineering workflows
