Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in the Home Lending Technology division responsible for designing and implementing scalable Python/Java/React/AWS applications, setting technical direction, championing best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust systems. Responsibilities include developing high-quality code, architecting solutions for large data volumes, conducting code reviews, establishing coding standards and CI/CD pipelines, and engaging with vendors and product leadership to drive architecture and delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Strong Java development experience (Java Core & EE)
- Experience with React/Angular, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Spring Boot
- Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience with Sonar, JIRA, GIT, Maven
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile or related technical disciplines
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical directions
- Ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Leadership
- Hands-on delivery and participation in implementation of technical solutions
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams
