Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the EMEA Last Mile Regulatory Reporting team. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for developing secure, high-quality production code, driving architectural design discussions, and leading communities of practice to promote new technologies. You will execute creative software solutions, review and debug code, automate recurring remediation for operational stability, and collaborate with external vendors, startups, and internal teams. You will apply agile methods (CI/CD, security, resiliency), contribute to the software development lifecycle, and bring strong cloud capabilities (AWS/Databricks) within a financial services IT context. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and a culture of inclusion while delivering trusted technology products in a secure, scalable manner.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - databases, Python etc.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience - experience with AWS/Databricks
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting
