Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in Consumer and Community Banking, Auto Lending. Responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting secure, scalable software; leading architectural discussions with vendors and internal teams; driving adoption of new technologies; fostering an inclusive team culture; and delivering production-quality code. Requires strong COBOL/JCL/DB2/IMS/VSAM/CICS knowledge, Java/Spring/REST, cloud and microservices expertise, Agile/SCRUM experience, and a track record of delivering across the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2/IMS, VSAM, and CICS
- Experience with tools such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/GitHub, JMeter/Blazemeter, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, MVC, Spring Cloud and Public Cloud (AWS)
- Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripts, API Gateways, Apache Kafka, Cassandra, and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge in Core Java, Spring frameworks, REST API development, Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, Bootstrap, and React
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Proven ability to apply agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
