Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for architectural design, end-to-end ownership, and building secure, scalable applications in JPMorganChase's Core Processes Reconciliation migration and modernization program. The role includes designing products, owning design end-to-end, building applications, and performing technical leadership activities. Responsibilities include executing creative software solutions and debugging, developing secure production code, identifying opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability, leading evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability, leading communities of practice in software engineering, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. Preferred qualifications include experience with system design and code reviews and AWS (Lambda and Data Analytics services). Located in Newark, DE, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Java software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with SpringBoot
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in SDLC
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security)
- Practical cloud native experience
- Knowledge of financial services IT systems
