Job Summary
Execute creative software solutions, design, and development while conducting critical technology troubleshooting across multiple technical areas. Develop secure high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability. Design and deliver backend services and automation pipelines supporting critical initiatives. Lead evaluation sessions with product owners and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs and technical credentials. This role requires 5+ years of Java Spring Boot experience within a regulated enterprise environment. The position is full-time in New York City with a salary range of $180,000–$240,000.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in coding Java Spring Boot
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proven track record delivering in regulated enterprise environments
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of coding experience
- Prior large-scale financial services engineering experience
- Experience in Cloud based solutions ( AWS )
- Experience in AI/ML , Generative AI solutions, Agentic Engineering
- Familiarity in Risk and Resiliency domains
