Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for the Private Equity-focused Asset Management platform within JPMorganChase's Alternative Asset Management group. Role involves designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions using AWS, Java, Python, ReactJS, and Oracle; collaborating with front office users and external vendors to align technology with business requirements; leading architectural evaluations, communities of practice, and a culture of inclusion; driving automated, production-grade code and operational stability across the in-house Private Equity investment management platform.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Experience working in an agile development team
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in Java, ReactJS, and Python
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud-native experience
- Prior experience with React/Javascript (preferred)
- Financial domain knowledge (Asset management preferred; Private Equity front office knowledge)
