Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Asset and Wealth Management line of business. Responsible for executing creative software solutions, designing and debugging production code, mentoring and leading communities of practice, and driving architectural discussions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions aligned with the firm’s objectives. Emphasizes automation, operational stability, agile practices, and a strong focus on the Java tech stack (Java, React, Python) and AWS cloud native capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) with specific focus on the Java tech stack, React, and Python
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical AWS cloud native experience
- Business skills in understanding wealth management, portfolio management or other financial services discipline.
