Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer on JPMorgan Chase's Credit Risk Technology team responsible for architecture, modernization, and enhancement of the Credit Risk technology stack. Designs and builds scalable, resilient Java/Python-based systems, develops data pipelines and analytics with Databricks to support credit risk reporting and regulatory compliance, and delivers web/API services with RESTful interfaces. Collaborates across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, provides production support, and drives reliability and performance improvements while engaging with business stakeholders, technology partners, and SRE teams. Emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement while leveraging AWS/Snowflake and big data tools as part of the technology stack.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Proficiency in Java and Python
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with Databricks
- Web/API development (RESTful services, Angular JS, EXT JS)
- RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
