Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for JPMorgan Chase Markets & Post Trade Technology. Responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions with Java and microservices, leading architectural evaluations, driving production quality, and advancing automation and observability. Works across teams to improve operability, reliability, and performance; contributes to a culture of diversity and inclusion. Requires strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, experience with Kafka, REST/gRPC, Oracle/PostgreSQL, cloud (AWS/Kubernetes), and CI/CD, plus familiarity with financial services IT domains and AI/LLM integration concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in software development
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, MQ, Apache Kafka, REST Api, gRPC, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL
- Proficiency with observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, Grafana)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Lambda, Docker, Helm)
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of financial services IT systems
