Job Summary
Provide technical guidance to support business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors. Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others. Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, establishing measurable validation standards and promoting automation within the SDLC. Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices. Requires 5+ years of applied experience with advanced Java, Springboot, and Microservice Architecture, plus Python skills. Must demonstrate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tool usage with the ability to set team expectations for validating outputs.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in Java
- Springboot
- Microservice Architecture
- Experience working in Python
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment
- Ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
