Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for Equity Derivatives Technology responsible for designing, developing, securing, and delivering scalable Java-based solutions within an agile team. You will execute creative software solutions, review and debug production code, automate remediation to improve stability, and lead architectural evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams while promoting inclusion and collaboration. Responsibilities include driving secure production-grade code, enabling automation and CI/CD, contributing to architecture discussions, and advancing modern technologies within the software engineering practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related disciplines
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Python programming language
