Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable Java/Spring Boot, React.js, and Kafka-based solutions within JPMorgan Chase. You will mentor a team of up to ten engineers, drive automation initiatives across CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning, and collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, highly available systems with strong disaster recovery. You will apply deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React, Kafka, AWS, and cloud-native architectures while guiding architectural evaluations, performance tuning, and integration with external vendors. The role emphasizes leadership in engineering communities of practice and ongoing technical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in software engineering
- Hands-on experience in Java, React, Kafka
- Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery
- Experience with CI/CD, security, and agile methodologies
- Experience with cloud technologies, AWS
- Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and systems design
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers (preferred)
- Knowledge of financial services IT systems (preferred)
