Job Summary
Lead software engineer responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable Java/Spring Boot applications on AWS; leads architecture discussions, reviews code, mentors teams, engages with vendors, builds services with Java/Spring, and deploys to AWS. Focus on creating production-ready code, improving operational stability, and advancing modern technologies within an agile environment. Emphasizes secure coding, CI/CD practices, and collaboration across communities of practice to drive adoption of new technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience working with React
- Proficiency in coding in one or more programming languages
- Experience working in a large corporate environment, including use of database query languages
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle
- Understanding of agile delivery practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes in at least one technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, or mobile)
