Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer - IOS at JPMorganChase within the BUSINESS ACCESS & TOOLS group, acting as a core technical contributor on an agile team to develop secure, production-grade mobile solutions. Responsibilities include executing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code in Swift/Objective-C, reviewing and debugging others’ code, automating remediation to improve operational stability, leading evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and technical design, and fostering communities of practice with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Emphasizes secure development, SDLC, CI/CD, agile methods, and deep knowledge of financial services IT systems.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) including Swift, Objective C, API, AWS and Xcode performance analysis
- Experience with testing for mobile phones, GIT source control management
- Experience with architecture and system design
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
Desired Qualifications
- Can work with mobile application team to setup monitoring to resolve production issues/crashes on mobile devices
- Experience with mobile application profiling for memory analysis, thread analysis and heap analysis
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience delivering mobile applications at scale in a financial services IT environment
- Experience with cloud services and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
- Experience with Xcode performance analysis
- GIT/source control proficiency
- Knowledge of security practices and application resiliency in mobile/IoT contexts
