Job Summary

Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging work from others. Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues and improve operational stability. Set strategy and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering, defining guardrails for validation, security, and resiliency across teams. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs, and lead communities of practice to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies. This role requires 5+ years of applied experience, proficiency in languages like Go, Python, or Java, and expertise in Terraform and CI/CD. Candidates must demonstrate practical cloud-native experience and an in-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns with secure governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
  • 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) ideally including one of Go, Python, React, Java
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible or other automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Demonstrated experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) across teams/functions, including establishing governance for human-in-the-loop validation, traceability/auditability, and secure handling of sensitive inputs/outputs
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations at scale, including security/resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance; ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption, reuse, and measurable outcomes
  • Practical cloud native experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designs
  • Experience in AWS EKS, GCP GKE ecosystems a plus
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of multiple Cloud Platforms
  • Proficiency in database technology such as Oracle / MS SQL / Cockroach
