Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer – IBP Solution at Nike, focusing on end-to-end IBP delivery using o9 with hands-on configuration and implementation. Drive solution architecture decisions, mentor a 3–4 person engineering team, and collaborate with product managers and cross-functional partners to design scalable, multi-tenant planning solutions across MFP, assortment, demand and supply planning, and downstream integrations. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing forecasting models (ML-based and causal), implementing inventory optimization, ERP integrations, and deployment logic; building scalable cloud solutions; leading design–build–test–deploy cycles; and championing DevOps/CI/CD practices while ensuring high-quality delivery. Required experience spans Java/Python, PL/SQL, data analysis, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and a strong track record in IBP domains (O9 preferred; SAP IBP/Kinaxis experience valued); leadership and mentoring of engineers are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development across IBP domains
- Proven expertise in O9 Assortment, Demand or Supply (mandatory)
- Exposure to SAP IBP, Kinaxis etc is a plus
- Strong understanding of planning algorithms, forecasting models, solvers, and data domains
- Understanding of ML based forecasting models and implementing workflows for best models
- Exposure to solvers like Gurobi or other open source packages
- Experience in AI based development environments like cursor, co-pilot or Nova
- Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, data analysis, and scalable cloud-based engineering
- Java/Python, databases, Git/SVN
- DevOps/CI-CD (Jenkins preferred)
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience and excellent communication skills
- Lead a team of at least 3-4 people and mentoring capabilities
- Design and implement O9–enterprise integrations and data flows
- Build deployment, allocation, and replenishment logic across multi-node distribution networks
