Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for cloud and edge-based medical device software. Design and develop cloud/edge solutions that integrate with AI-enabled medical devices; drive architectural decisions for cloud platforms, deployment, and system security; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Design Assurance, Product Management, DevOps, Product Security, and Software Quality Assurance to ensure secure, compliant development pipelines and thorough verification/validation activities. Promote best practices in secure software development, testing, and documentation; mentor engineers and lead technical decisions while maintaining alignment with FDA/ISO 13485 quality standards and patient safety commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or STEM field
- 6–8+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience in cloud and edge-based systems
- Experience developing software in regulated environments (medical devices/healthcare)
- Strong understanding of secure software development and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulated development processes
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into cloud/edge applications
- Proficiency with Agile development and version control
