Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions meeting regulatory needs. Share passion for staying on top of tech trends by experimenting with new technologies, participating in internal and external communities, and mentoring other engineering members. Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans. Utilize programming languages including JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with open source databases, container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. This role drives a major transformation within Capital One, helping customers achieve financial empowerment through innovative data and technology integration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- 3+ years of Mobile Development experience on iOS or Android
- 6+ years of hands on coding experience with Swift or Kotlin
- Understanding of Server Driven UI
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
