Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer in JPMorgan Chase's Asset and Wealth Management division, focusing on Generative AI development and the design/implementation of AI-powered features. Responsibilities include building AI models from scratch in Java or Python, developing front-end interfaces with React or Angular, integrating AWS-based best practices for scalable and secure AI deployments, conducting code reviews, automating processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance GenAI capabilities and maintain production-grade AI applications.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Minimum 5+ years of strong proficiency in Java or Python, with the ability to architect and build complex AI models from scratch
- One year of experience in generative AI development and prompt engineering
- Proven experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in AI projects
- Minimum of 3+ years of strong experience with React or Angular
- 2+ years of AWS experience is a must-have
- Experience with LLM models and agentic tools
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, applied to AI projects
