Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for JPMorgan Chase's Equity Derivatives Group with responsibilities including executing creative software solutions, designing and troubleshooting, collaborating with engineers, product owners, traders and Quants to develop best-in-class software for the Equity Derivatives platform, working in an Agile/Scrum environment, supporting business processes with production management, contributing to communities of practice to promote new technologies, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. The role requires 5+ years of experience, Java/JVM and Spring Boot, TypeScript/React, OO design, microservices, CI/CD, Agile, and strong communication; financial systems experience and knowledge of derivatives, Kafka/AMQP/AMPS, and cloud technologies are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Experience with Java/JVM and the Spring Boot framework
- Experience with TypeScript/React development
- Experience with object-oriented design and micro-service architectures
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and clean code practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Experience partnering with product and engineering teams
