Job Summary
Execute creative software solutions, design, and development while conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support business objectives. Develop secure high-quality production code, debug others' work, and identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues for improved operational stability. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs, drive communities of practice for emerging technologies, and coach engineers on safe, compliant adoption of AI-assisted development tools. Requires 10+ years of Java, JavaScript, and React experience; full-time role in JPMorganChase's Corporate Sector.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering
- 5+ years applied experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in React
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in REST Services
- 3+ years of relational database software development experience
- 10+ years of experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation
- Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins
- Familiar with development tools such as Git
- Familiar with development tools such as Jira
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools
- Ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices
