Job Summary
Architect and deliver robust, scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React to support wholesale credit risk workflows. Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to enhance analytical functions. Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle activities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices like code reviews, test-driven development, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with product managers and risk stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. Identify and resolve complex technical challenges while contributing to the team's technology strategy to modernize the platform.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Advanced applied experience in software engineering
- Advanced proficiency in Java
- Advanced proficiency in Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience developing modern front-end applications using React
- Hands-on experience developing front-end applications using equivalent frameworks
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design
- Experience integrating artificial intelligence models within production systems
- Experience working alongside machine learning models within production systems
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery across the full software development lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery in an agile environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex technical challenges independently
- Ability to resolve complex technical challenges independently
