Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorganChase's Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments team. Responsible for hands-on design, development, and troubleshooting of secure, scalable production code; leading architectural discussions with vendors and internal teams; driving adoption of new technologies and practices; and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, and strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/React, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and REST APIs. Responsibilities include turning wireframes and Figma designs into maintainable code, improving operational stability, and applying innovative solutions to meet business needs. Preferred experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Payments/Financial Services domain.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced hands on experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, or similar scripting language
- Hands-on programming/application development experience Java, Spring Boot, REST/API
- Proficiency in SQL/Hibernate, Messaging (Kafka)
- Ability to convert wireframes and Figma designs into clean, maintainable code
- Hands on knowledge of AWS offerings (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda ,Terraform etc)
- Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in large teams.
- Hands on experience identifying and implement innovative solutions to meet business needs
