Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable web applications and microservices using Java/Spring Boot and Python. Lead and contribute to architecture discussions, build user interfaces with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, ensure production code quality and operational stability, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams. Drive adoption of new technologies, foster communities of practice, support agile processes, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Experience in Micro services with Java, Spring Boot, Python
- Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems, RESTful APIs and web technologies
- Hands-on experience designing and building enterprise-scale, high-volume data processing applications using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of Restful Web Services, WebSockets/JSON
- Agile Development experience with SCRUM or similar methodologies
- Advanced Proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end languages (Java, Spring, Python)
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Developer or Solution Architect Certification
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, ES6, TypeScript) and tooling (Webpack, Cypress)
- Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks in development
- Observability and production management tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
