Job Summary
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers to build solutions securing Capital One's enterprise-scale multi-cloud ecosystem across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Drive the CloudPRE team to evaluate infrastructure configurations in real time against hundreds of security controls, proactively blocking non-compliant resources before production. Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs and help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment. Utilize distributed microservices, full stack systems, and programming languages like JavaScript, Python, and Go to create resilient infrastructure. Mentor engineers and stay current with emerging tech trends within an inclusive, iterative delivery environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Python, Go or Rego
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 3+ years of experience of Snowflake
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
- 1+ years of experience in AI tools (Claude, Windsurf, etc.) building workflows using spec driven development
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion
