Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer - Front-End Engineer for JPMorgan Chase within International Consumer Bank. Deliver end-to-end cloud-native microservices-based front-end solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and React Native across mobile platforms (Android/iOS). Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and ship features, maintaining clean and reusable code, thorough testing, debugging, stakeholder communication, mentoring junior developers, and driving process improvements. Requires strong JS/TS/ES6+ expertise, unit testing, agile collaboration in distributed teams, and excellent English communication. Preferred experience with React framework, React Native in TS/JS, native mobile development (Kotlin/Swift), REST/GraphQL, TypeScript, modern web development, design systems, and end-to-end testing tools (Detox, Appium, WebdriverIO, Playwright).
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on JavaScript concepts
- Proficient advanced experience in JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6+ syntax
- Ability to write testable, clean JavaScript code
- Familiarity with writing unit tests
- Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment within a geographically distributed team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preferred: Proficiency in React framework
- Building applications using React Native in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Native application development across Android / iOS in Kotlin / Swift
- Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
- Comfortable with TypeScript
- Using latest React features such as Suspense and Hooks
- End to end testing applications with Detox / Appium / WebdriverIO / Playwright
- Extensive experience in modern web development, including responsive design and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with design systems, component libraries, and implementing consistent UI/UX across large-scale applications
