Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at Mastercard (Full-Time) responsible for systems design and analysis, solution definition, development, testing, and implementation of client-server and web-based software applications for Mastercard products. Provides database/software modeling, delivers software solutions with day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, develops innovative approaches to complex design problems, oversees testing and implementation, and collaborates with governance to align designs with internal paradigms. Telecommuting/work-from-home may be permissible; candidate should have strong experience in Java/J2EE, databases, and CI/CD tooling.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related technical field and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the in job offered, or as Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst or related position. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience.
- Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: JAVA/J2EE; SQL; PL/SQL; JSON/XML; ORACLE/MYSQL; SPRING/STRUTS; APACHE TOMCAT/TOMCAT; WINDOWS/LINUX; ECLIPSE; JENKINS OR CI/CD TOOLS; ALM TOOLS.
