Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer role with telecommuting permissible in Arlington, VA, and US-wide remote options. Responsibilities include leading and participating in software development across data management, architecture, and Agile projects; performance testing; automated testing strategies (TDD/ATDD); demos and knowledge-sharing; engineering consultation; breaking down complex systems; identifying IT opportunities; and ensuring healthcare IT compliance. Requires a Master’s degree and Azure-focused development experience in healthcare, plus frontend/backend work with React/Redux/TypeScript/JavaScript/jQuery/C#/.NET 5+/ASP.NET, Azure deployment, SQL Server, CI/CD, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and Backstage portals. Candidate will undergo identity verification and comprehensive background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field
- Two years of experience developing scalable applications in Microsoft Azure (Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Application Insights, Key Vault, monitoring, scaling)
- Two years of experience in healthcare industry with frontend and backend using React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery, and C# (8.0+), .NET 5+ and ASP.NET
- Experience deploying applications in Azure using core services
- SQL development with Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, complex queries, performance tuning, database design)
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, scripting, artifact management in cloud environments
- Developing internal developer portals using Backstage and participating in healthcare compliance workflows (User Access Reviews, internal audits)
