Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer on JPMorgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking technology team, responsible for leading design, development, and evolution of a highly scalable GraphQL platform with strong observability and performance. Drive automation strategies for CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, oversee security best practices, and mentor engineers while contributing to a culture of inclusion. Own development of secure, high-quality production code, review others’ work, and lead architectural decisions across teams to deliver reliable, scalable platform services and developer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with 3+ years focused on building and scaling platform solutions or infrastructure
- Leadership experience mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions
- Expert in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting and automation proficiency (Bash, Groovy, Python)
- Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience
- GraphQL architecture and API design expertise
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Git/Bitbucket version control
- Observability tooling (Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace, CloudWatch)
- Security best practices in platform engineering (OAuth 2.0)
- Strong technical documentation skills (ADR, runbooks)
- Ability to design self-service developer experiences (APIs, tooling)
