Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics leads a team of engineers to translate Microbiology’s strategic vision into technical reality and develops/maintains innovative medical software applications. You will participate in all elements of the software life cycle within a Scrum Team, collaborate with Architects, Product Managers/Owners, business partners, and coached junior team members to ensure on-time product delivery. You will engage in deep technical design discussions, implement software designs and unit tests, and uphold software development standards and agile methodologies. The role requires mentoring team members, working with a globally distributed Agile team (team located in Bangalore with collaboration to Sacramento, CA), and hands-on technical leadership across the lifecycle of the product in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 7 to 12 years of experience with Delphi 10.2, Delphi.Net, SQL and unit testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with familiarity of design and architectural patterns
- Proficiency working with Agile and Scrum using Azure DevOps
- Experience with code versioning tools including Git and SVN
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience developing regulated medical device software that adheres to design controls (FDA CFR 820, ISO 13485) (preferred)
