Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer - Data at JPMorgan Chase in the Corporate Sector, Cloud Financial Management Technology group. Core technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering secure, scalable production code; leading architectural evaluations with vendors and internal teams; advancing communities of practice; fostering diversity and inclusion; and shaping data engineering solutions across multiple business functions. Key duties include architecting and implementing software solutions, code reviews and debugging, automating remediation to improve stability, and applying advanced Python and Spark/SQL skills (PySpark, SparkSQL), S3 data lake design and security, lakehouse patterns (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi), and distributed data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake). Strong emphasis on SDLC, CI/CD, Agile practices, and cloud-based data systems within financial services.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
