Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer, Collateral Services Tech responsible for architecting and delivering secure, scalable back-end solutions in a high-availability environment. Role emphasizes designing and implementing production-grade code in Java 17+ with Spring Boot, driving CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and operational stability. Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and architects to translate business needs into robust software, contribute to a diverse and inclusive team culture, and apply modern development practices including AI exploration. Key responsibilities include creating innovative software solutions, reviewing and debugging code, optimizing back-end performance, automating remediation of recurring issues, gathering requirements, and leading a software engineering team through delivery of business-critical projects. Preferred experience includes microservices, event-driven architectures, Python, RESTful APIs, and exposure to financial services.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 8+ years of applied software engineering experience
- Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Java 17+ with Spring Boot
- Experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, security
- Experience building enterprise applications with high availability and performance using Java, Spring, Kafka, EKS, distributed cache
- Experience leading and developing a software engineering team
- Practical cloud-native experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs concepts and its integration with React.js
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Experience with noSQL databases like Cassandra
- Experience with Python programming
- Experience working in financial services
