Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Engineer/Azure at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology Infrastructure Platform team. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for crafting secure, high-quality production code, solving complex architecture challenges across multiple technical areas, and leading architectural evaluations with external vendors and internal teams. You will drive automation and remediation to improve operational stability, contribute to communities of practice, and help advance the team’s culture of diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities include designing and developing software solutions, reviewing and debugging code, leading evaluations of architectures, and implementing cloud-based solutions on Azure with Terraform/ARM/Bicep, while leveraging CI/CD, security, and enterprise architecture patterns.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on system design concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in Python, Terraform and public cloud (Azure)
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD
- Hands-on experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform/Bicep/ARM on Azure
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Java scripting and Groovy
- Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines for deployment of Azure resources
- Hands-on experience in designing solutions and driving implementation on Azure Platform
- Experience in applying enterprise architecture patterns on Azure Cloud Integrations with On Prem Systems
- Experience in Identity and Access Management (preferred)
- Banking & Finance industry experience (preferred)
- Knowledge in cloud security principles
