Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software solutions, mentoring junior developers, and documenting solutions. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, analyzing technical requirements, collaborating with architects, analysts, PMs, and stakeholders to design and implement solutions, following coding standards and delivery timelines, documenting and testing solutions, maintaining systems, identifying and implementing improvements, providing operational support, and creating technical specifications, test plans, and end-user documentation. Mentors and guides junior developers, troubleshoots production queries, and interacts with managers and business management about projects, milestones, and tasks. Requires 8+ years of professional software development experience with Java 17, JavaScript/Angular/React, SQL Server/DB2, XML, HTML5/CSS, JSON, AJAX, and familiarity with Spring, Tomcat, Docker, Azure DevOps, Agile, and related technologies. Leadership, communication, and ability to influence across levels within the organization are important; travel up to 10% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years related experience developing software in a business production environment.
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
