Lead Software Engineer - C++ Developer responsible for designing, building, and operating market gateway solutions with FPGA acceleration in a high-speed electronic trading environment. Focus areas include low-latency C++ development on Unix/Linux, integration of FPGA pipelines with software for deterministic performance, production rollout and validation, observability, and driving latency optimization and system stability while collaborating with hardware, network, and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Proficiency in modern C++ on Unix/Linux with multithreading and OO design
- Scripting skills: Python, Perl, Shell
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and network stack behavior
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, resiliency, security
- Ability to review and debug code
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience designing, developing, and testing high-quality C++ code for trading connectivity and risk controls
- Experience with FPGA integration in software stacks
- Experience with production systems observation and reliability
