Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer for blockchain/DLT initiatives at JPMorgan Chase. Provide technical leadership for a global team building blockchain/DLT applications and services; design and develop scalable, secure services using Java Spring Boot, TypeScript/NestJS, ReactJS, Python; set engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, reliability, and performance; own end-to-end delivery from requirements to production support; collaborate with platform teams to advance developer experience and cloud-hosted blockchain services; work with Front Office, Product, Operations, and Core Blockchain teams on transformative DLT use cases; engage with industry groups and regulators; coach and mentor engineers to elevate team practices; advocate for DLT internally and externally; contribute input to broader tech agenda including Generative AI and Quantum; required experience includes 5+ years, Java Spring Boot, enterprise-grade systems, blockchain platforms, cryptography, CI/CD, and strong collaboration skills; preferred also AWS/cloud-native, exposure to financial services environments, and Python/web technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience
- Significant hands-on software engineering experience including Java Spring Boot
- Experience building on public or permissioned blockchain platforms (e.g., Solana, Ethereum/EVM, Hyperledger, Polkadot, Cosmos, Avalanche, Canton)
- Understanding of cryptographic protocols, smart contracts and key management
- Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
- Solid understanding of architecture and design across distributed, enterprise systems
- Proven track record delivering complex software projects into production
- Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring capability
