Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer in Azure Cloud leading an agile team to design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions. Responsible for creating high-quality production code, mentoring engineers, evaluating architectural designs with external vendors and internal teams, driving automation and CI/CD practices, and contributing to communities of practice while ensuring governance and security in cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience leading teams of technologists while working at code-level in Python, Azure SDK, and proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with Azure & Google Services (Storage, Compute, IAM, Network)
- Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and practical Azure cloud-native experience
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, including CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with Azure policy writing, testing , knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, and a strong understanding of Azure policies and governance
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Understanding of Azure AI services is a plus
- Azure and Google Cloud Certifications is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systems
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
