Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer position on JPMorgan Chase's AIML Data Platforms team focusing on building secure, scalable cloud-native services in Python on AWS. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, delivering production-grade code, reviewing peers, influencing product design and operations, and contributing to SDLC practices. Requires extensive hands-on software engineering experience, cloud-native architecture, Terraform, and AI/Ml-focused capabilities; preferred familiarity with HCL and Terraform for infrastructure state management.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) Python, Java, Golang
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience using Terraform
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience AWS
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- AI agent building skills including using context engineering and rag
