Job Summary

Execute creative software solutions, design, and development while conducting critical technology troubleshooting across multiple business functions. Develop secure, high-quality AI/ML production code, review peer work, and debug issues. Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed, establishing validation standards for secure coding and automated testing. Lead vendor and internal team evaluations to probe architectural designs and drive communities of practice for emerging technologies. Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues and enhance operational stability. Requires 5+ years of experience, advanced proficiency in Python or Java, and deep knowledge of financial services IT systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
  • 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls
  • Experience required, AI/ML engineering on AWS platform
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Python, Java
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience
