Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer - AI responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable production-grade software in a finance-tech environment. Responsibilities include executing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code and debugging others' code, automating remediation to improve operational stability, leading architectural evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams, and steering communities of practice to promote new and cutting-edge technologies. Required skills include formal software engineering training with 5+ years of experience, automation-focused development with AI and agentic frameworks/LLMs, automatic software upgrades, proficiency in Java/Python/Kotlin, and integration of automation with CI/CD tools. Preferred skills include OpenRewrite or similar code transformation tools, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and experience in regulated industries (finance/healthcare). The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, clear communication, and collaboration within an agile team.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Experience in software development, with a focus on automation and AI.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks, LLMs, or intelligent agents.
- Experience using AI to automatically upgrade software.
- Proven track record of automating software upgrades, deployments, or migrations.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Kotlin).
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
